Doubao desktop compatibility
Third-party Base URL or API key support in the official Doubao desktop app has not been verified. The official material reviewed on 2026-10-28 did not establish a setup procedure, so this guide does not invent one.
A client and a model API are different
Calling a model through AI526 and configuring AI526 inside a desktop application are separate capabilities. A company's model appearing in the catalog does not prove its desktop app accepts other API services.
Available alternatives

- For your own application, follow the quickstart using the AI526 base URL, your key and a public model ID.
- To use the official Doubao desktop app, install it from its download page and follow its supported account flow. That does not connect it to AI526.
Do not paste an AI526 key into a conversation to try to change the API connection. If official custom connections become available, verify the protocol, URL format and supported versions before using them.
